Hi,
Once in a while I'm using the quick goto* links for some of the well known base maps (easier to remember than the full link with the item ID), e.g. http://goto.arcgisonline.com/maps/Reference/World_Transportation opens the related entry in ArcGIS Online Portal.
While this works great for most map services - it doesn't for http://goto.arcgisonline.com/maps/Canvas/World_Light_Gray_Reference . It seems a missing forward slash in the url is causing the the domain name resolution error. Feels like an registration/reference issue in ArcGIS online.
Maybe someone can look into this!? Thanks!
Falko

Hi Falko,
Was this url published somewhere? If so, please share it so we can look into the link. For the world light gray canvas map, please use:
http://goto.arcgisonline.com/maps/World_Light_Gray_Reference
Thanks,
Kelly
Thanks for reporting the issue Falko.
We'll look into this.
Thank you. Much appreciated.

Thanks Kelly.
I may have to check where I got this original link from - but given you nicely structured the goto-links based on the structure of the ArcGIS online service directory http://server.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services - it would make sense to register/fix the original link I sent. For example you also have http://goto.arcgisonline.com/maps/Canvas/World_Dark_Gray_Reference or http://goto.arcgisonline.com/maps/Canvas/World_Dark_Gray_Base which are all working fine - in fact you seem to have all ArcGIS online service entries referenced given the directory structure [http://goto.arcgisonline.com/maps] + [service_folder] + [service_entry].
Certainly not the highest priority - just a convenient way for me to access some of the portal items. But your last goto link works - thanks for that.
Cheers, Falko
