Hello All.

Wonder if anybody has run into this issue:

When I upload a geojson file (with data) that creates a table.... a particular field:

"AcresBurned"30

 keeps setting as a string (instead of an integer)

The first 10 features all have whole numbers in them. Then some of the features have

"AcresBurned": 400.0. (with a decimal)

Wondering why it keeps automatically assigning the filed as a String? And in ArcGIS online can you change the filed type from one type to another.

Thanks

Solved by turning geojson to csv and uploaded (with choosing the acres burned as a double). Went through the whole fire (10 years of data) and did not see anything that would automatically change the field's to a string.

Please ensure there are no spaces (30 ), extra periods (400.0.) or other non-numeric characters in the values.

If the issue still persists, could you share the geojson file with us?
