Feature Layer No Longer Presenting Data

After the update on Thursday, one of our feature layers is no longer providing its table on the data page. The page remains blank, though it does say the layer is being updated when data is provided to it through a Web App. Our views based on this layer are also functioning, but we need this layer to power a task that provides the gathered data to another website. Since the table has become "unviewable", the task we are running cannot extract the data. We're currently at a loss on what to do and it is leaving one of our applications dead in the water for our business.

I just wanted to drop a Kudo to try and get this some more visibility and say that I'm experiencing the same thing. I checked the console and it shows the following error, "Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'layerType')"

There are a bunch of issues being reported here in the Community related to the June 2026 update. If it's possible, can you create a support ticket and then follow up here? I'm thinking it's probably important to get these things officially logged in their system for them to actually take action, and then other users who report the same issue can be tied to the bug report.

Best,
Katie

Hi @MayaZelaya & @JeremyBrown4 ,

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue. A couple questions:

- Does the table still display in Map Viewer or the Visualization tab when you look at the data?

- How were these services created? Anything special? Just publish from a file, etc.?

- Do these services have item data saved to them? If yes, does the item data include references to all the layers and tables in the service in the response?

Regardless, I would suggest opening a support case so we can take a closer look and try to address this for you in a timely manner.

Thanks,

Taylor

  • In visualization, the table comes up but it is not up to date and stopped at 6/10 (unsure why). Plenty of new data has come in since and is viewable in our views built off the layer.
  • This hosted layer was created from a service definition. Though I don't know any additional prior history to the fullest since I was given these layers long after they were created.
  • I'm not completely sure, but I do not believe so.

I have placed a request in as well that references this post.
