Error Publishing a Map Service for ArcMap to ArcGIS Online

I have been through the process several time and I keep getting a very generic error message when I try to publish a service that I uploaded from ArcMap.

The first warning I get is when publish from ArcMap, cache generation failed:
[ATTACH=CONFIG]15384[/ATTACH]

The service uploads without an issue, but when I view it online and try to publish it there I get this message, "There was an error":
[ATTACH=CONFIG]15385[/ATTACH]

Tough message to troubleshoot, any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem (see http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/60579-Problem-Publishing-Hosted-Tile-Map-Service). I tried building the cache manually and automatically, and didn't have any luck. I'm not seeing the map service in my contents or the option to manage tiles on the details page.

Any other suggestions?

Hmmmm, I don't seem to have the Manage Tiles link.   I just recreated the SD file with the build cache manually option selected and it look pretty much the same as all my other attempts:
[ATTACH=CONFIG]15466[/ATTACH]

hopefully you see a map service with the same name as your service definition in your My Content.

If we don't see a map service of the same name what should be our next course of action?

On the item details page of the service definition, there is a publish button. Can you try publishing it again?

Here are the warnings I get when I analyze during the publishing process:

None of these seem serious.  Is there a demo dataset I should try to see if I can publish anything successfully?

Adam,

I had the same errors. It doesn't seem like these should stop you from publishing the service successfully. But to be sure, I resolved them by re-projecting the data source, setting a custom extent, and setting min/max scales for the layer in the TOC. Still no luck.

Somebody must be publishing tile map services to AGOL subscription successfully. Anyone? Bueller?

I just did the same thing, projected the one FC to WGS_1984_Web_Mercator_Auxiliary_Sphere.  Still no luck publishing anything.

I forgot to ask the obvious question here...Are you guys running ArcGIS Desktop 10.1?

Do I need to add you to the members list so that you can see the SD?  If so, do I need your e-mail?
