Editing a related table in a Web Map not honoring the relationship set

I have a relationship set between a feature layer and a table with forms setup for use with Field Maps. When I use Field Maps and click on a feature in the layer, and then select related, I can add a related record to the table. The field, "relationship_id", is automatically populated to relate the record to the feature. All good, no issue there.

However, since the latest update (June 2026), when I attempt similar within a Web Map. Edit the feature layer, select a feature of interest and add the related record to the table, the "relationship_id" is not populated in the record. The record is created in the table, but the field that the relationship is built on is not populated.

I have several people out in the field and all working fine, but the office workers are complaining because what worked perfectly, now fails.

Has anyone witnessed similar?

My next step is to add Arcade to force it to add the relationship_id. It should work as is, as it does so in Field Maps and did so up until the update.

Any advice is appreciated.

Hi @Clubdebambos

Thanks for posting about this. I'm not able to reproduce the issue with my own data.

Are you using Global ID as the parent key/foreign key field?

Thanks! Emily
