Collaboration: "Invalid guest organization"

Trying to set up a collaboration in ArcGIS Online between my org and a colleagues for an ongoing project.

I created the group and the workspace but when I try to invite their org I get the following message......

"Invalid guest organization URL"

Hi Darragh,

What are the versions of each Portal and are they both AGOL?  Is one of them a Portal?

Also, are you sure the guest Organization has collaboration enabled?

From the screenshot it looks like you are trying to invite an ArcGIS Online organization to the collaboration which will not work as the ArcGIS Online organization must be the Host of the collaboration.  

If one of the collaboration participant's has an ArcGIS Enterprise organization, then you can set up the collaboration in ArcGIS Online and invite the ArcGIS Enterprise organization as a guest.

Yes, both are ArcGIS Online organizations.

As per the documentation "Only one ArcGIS Online organization can participate in the collaboration."
