Hi: I'm trying to put a gpx track onto a storymap. A StoryMaps Update from November 2023 shows it pretty straightforward (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWZdcvalbYg&ab_channel=StoryMaps) with "Activity Map" in the + dropdown. I'm not seeing it, only Immersive as a heading and Side Car or Map Tour as options and neither seem to show a way to get a gps file.
I had worked out a way using the old AGOL Classic to just drag in a gps file, then convert to a feature layer (or use DNRGPS to create a shp file, publish as a feature layer, then bring that in but the Update 2023 video looked way easier and with more features.
What am I missing to get to Activity Map?
Thanks!
George

Aha! Bern Szukalski at ESRI straightened me out. Teensy bit of confusion on my part. The link I posted is to StoryMaps.com, not related to the ESRI universe. Alas, StoryMaps -- the ESRI versions -- don't directly support bringing in a gpx file. My above workflow, though klunky, does work and is probably best used as a map block for ESRI StoryMaps. As a feature service, it only allows point gpx point data.
That said, the Activity tool in the storymaps.com app is very cool, though subscription based. Would be great if ESRI could also come up with a more direct solution. There's great ways to make tour maps but there, but being able to show an exact track with photos or other media seems like a serious oversight.
