Hi,
I have set the default base map in my organisation>edit settings>map as 'Base Mapping Colour'
From my content page if I add a new map it opens up in some location outwith the default extent I have specified. From that map if I then click new map it opens as expected. Am I doing something wrong creating a new map from My content?
I want to create a new base map for ArcGIS online.
If I create a new map and paste the map service URL for my black and white map the default colour map is there as a base map - how do I remove that or assign my black and white version as the base map?
Thanks
Mark
Solved! Go to Solution.
Have you tried clicking on the layer from the search menu and then clicked on "Use as Basemap"?
Also, if you have the link for the service, there is a check box for using as basemap:
