Hi Guys,

Would like to get some inputs causing a map service to stopped automatically right after publishing. Publishing is successful but it requires manual starting of the service. What I wonder more on this problem is that every time I tried to start it manually, its giving me error. I tried reading suggestions with regards to this and one of the solution is to restart the server and it actually works on my end. But is there a way I could determine what causing this to prevent this from happening so I don't need to restart my server every time I published map service?

Any inputs on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Jessiecar

Any ideas or valuable information that could help in preventing this kind of problem in publishing map service? I am using ArcGIS Desktop 10.2.

Thanks!

Hola Jessiecar

This sounds like something I would suggest logging a support case with the Server Usage Team. We would be able to dive into this with you, and then look to see what could be causing this issue and you mentioned an error. The error can always tell us some very important information, and you should always look to the resources available on the server box. Along with the number of services you are running, and if this happens with all map services you are attempting to publish.

I guess we did provide a few items to look into on your end, but I would really suggest logging a support case with us on the server team. Gracias, Jessiecar!

Juan

Does this occur with every mapservice that you republish in ArcGIS Server?

Hi Michael,

No, it doesn't happen in all map services.

Only the map service related to historical maps.

Thank you Juan.

We've found a way to prevent this error in publishing but thank you for your suggestion.
