arcgis online sign in

Hi:
I use arcinfo 10.1.  I have an issue when trying to sign in arcgis online in arcmap.  The error message appears as "unable to connect to the remote server".  Please let me know how to fix it.  Thanks

Are you able to connect, in general, to the internet? ArcMap simply uses the currently configured way to connect to the internet.

I recommend checking the Firewall/proxy settings. Make sure nothing is being block.
