Analysis tools failing

Hi,

I'm trying to use find hotspots and aggregate points tools with some very simple data collected by school students today. My trials worked fine but now when I try it in front of them I just get "Error - findhotspots failed" every time!

I only have 33 data points which I know is at the lower limit but I thought it should still at least produce a result. Also I cannot figure out why aggregate points will not work. Link to the map is below.

Thanks

Jim

Hi Jim,

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems.  I just tried running analysis on your data and did not have any problems.  I ran Aggregate Points and Find Hot Spots and both completed successfully.  So it looks like the data is fine.  Can you reply with the exact parameters that you are using when you attempt to run these functions?  Also, can you provide me with the name of your Organization and we can investigate on the backend to see if we can see if there is a problem.

Thanks
Ash

Hi Ash,

Thanks for having a look. I manually transposed the lat/long and EQ data into a .csv file then added that to the ma - that layer is Arch T data. I was able to use both analysis tools with that layer as well.

The following day (Friday 22nd) I collected more data with my students - polygons this time rather than points - and tried to use the summarize nearby tool but returned the same "Error - summarizenearby failed" message.

For all this data collection I had groups of students using the Collector app and I don't seem to be able to analyse any data added to the map in this way. If I enter data through a browser or upload .csv data the analysis tools work fine so I wonder if there is a problem with the data I have entered using Collector.

My organisation is Field Studies Council. Cheers for looking at this and I hope you can help.
