I purchased Streetmap Premium Advanced with geocoding license (ouch).  I'm running ArcGIS 10.1 on a desktop.  After the extensive installation (which appears to be successful) when I try to add any of the locator files to the address locator manager ArcMap responds with saying they are in need of repair?  Any idea as to what's up? or how do I fix the locator files?

Ifeoma,

Which version of StreetMap Premium are you working with? Do you have all three components of the address locator (*.loc, *.lox, *.loc.xml) in the same folder?

Hi Shana,

I worked with an ESRI tech to figure out the problem. I had to rename all 3 components of the address locator (.loc, .lox, and loc.xml) file to have the same file name in order to get the geocoder to work.

Ifeoma:

When you received the locators did the associated files (.lox, .loc, .loc.xml) not have the same names? Is the solution from Support working for you?

Hi Shana,

Yes, when I got the locators, they did not have the same names. The solution from the support team worked for me!
