Adding routing to web application

Hi,
I have created an application and want to add the routing service to the application.  I don't have ArcGIS server is this possible?  If so how do i do it?

I can't add the layer to the map it keeps giving me an error.  What I�??m trying to do is, have others using my app use their current location, then select a feature on my map and get directions to the feature from their current location.  Is this possible with ArcGIS online?  If so is there something wrong with the link?  How would I go about making this happen?

This is not a layer you can add to a web map. They are services you could use to write your own applications.

I see they are not layers, but services.  How do I go about doing this do I copy some code I have read all there is to read about this service and there is not real definitive way to add this service to an app I have already created.  There also are no instructions how to add this service to a web app. that I could find.

If you want to modify the templates, you'll need to download the template, modify it by writing your own JavaScript code, then host it on your own web server.  There is no way to customize a template that is 'published' to ArcGIS Online.

I'd also suggest looking at the JavaScript API forum. This is the best forum to use for API questions (developers don't really monitor the ArcGIS Online forum).
