The Map Viewer just got even better! With a new layer for adding image to web map, it has significantly improved the user experience. How about supporting animated GIF and displaying images directly from URLs? Imagine having real-time weather updates, complete with captivating visuals, effortlessly accessible. No more downloading and uploading images for every update. It's time to streamline workflows and ensure accurate results. These enhancements will be making it easier to understand and engage with.

Hey Jake,

GIFS/Animated Images - these are planned to be supported, I don't have an upcoming release but will attach this post to our internal issue.

From URL - this is not planned as of now, the media is currently stored as a resource associated to the web map.  Will discuss this one with the team as well.

If you can share some of your media layer examples I would like to share them with the team thanks!

Hi, RussRoberts

That's awesome news!

This is media layer that our user want to use https://weather.bangkok.go.th/Images/Radar/radar.gif

if the map viewer could directly display images pulled from URL, it would save us time and effort. We wouldn't have to download and upload images every time there is an update.

Thank you for considering our request.
