The "Generate Travel Areas" (Drive Time Areas) tool is a powerful resource for visualizing accessible areas based on travel time or distance. However, users currently lack the ability to see which specific network features (roads, pathways, etc.) are being utilized when these areas are generated.

I propose adding a visual layer or option within the tool to display the underlying network used for calculating the travel areas. This enhancement would greatly benefit users by allowing them to:

  • Validate the accuracy of the network utilized in the analysis.
  • Understand how different network features, such as road classifications or restricted paths, impact the results.
  • Troubleshoot any discrepancies in generated travel areas.

This would improve the transparency of the tool's outputs and provide deeper insights into the spatial data driving these calculations, ensuring more reliable and actionable results.

Hi @CarynAshbay,

Does turning on the Include reachable streets parameter help achieve what you want?

It will generate a line layer that contains all the roads that were used to create the travel areas.
For example, the purple lines here represent the accessed roads
