We have several layers in the Parcel Viewer Web map application on Arcgis online. The current feature of search for parcels is really good but what is missing in this web map application is the abiltiy to turn on or off layers that you want to see. For example, we have a parcels layer that can be view at street level on the Parcel Viewer web map application and on top of this layer there is the zoning layer, and on top of zoning there is the general plan layer and on top of the general plan layer there is the districts layer. When the general public is looking at the Parcel Viewer web map and they are only interested in seeing the parcels, they will turn off all the other layers so the parcels can be seen. Now, often times the public wants to know on what zoning a specific parcel is located, so they will turn on the zoning layer and they will be able to see the zoning for that specific parcel. The same goes for the rest of the layers.
By having the functionality of turning on or off layers, it will avoid the clutterness that occurs when having several layers in the Parcel Viewer web map application. This will definately improve the Parcel Viewer web map application.
