Can you please add support for grouping of layers in Basemaps?

Grouping in operational layer list in the New Map Viewer works great.  We want this supported in the Basemap section, as well.   So users can turn imagery from multiple services on, in one click.

reason: For a particular purpose, we have a REST service of imagery for each county, for most counties in the country.  Users in the field on Field Maps would have to click one by one, to see them and turn them on.  Or same thing, in a viewer app.  It's nicer to have basemaps turned on and off in the basemap button or widget.  Better UI.   I put this in Imagery for ArcGIS Online since that is our sole purpose; and I could see that being applicable for other companies/agencies/vendors. For various reasons.  Yes, we have a service with all imagery in one layer; but, there are reasons for this other way, and it would be super helpful to have Grouping so users can turn all imagery from multiple services on, in one click.

Thanks as always Esri team!

Feel free to message me with any questions.

This is something we are looking into but will not be in a soon/upcoming release.  It really requires an expanded layer support in the basemap. We are looking into this but no exact release date but the reason why is due to group layers supporting non base & reference  layers. So if you have group layers that are an item or already in the operational layer and IF we had the option to Use as basemap/Add to Basemap or the Move to Basemap on the group layer it could bring in unsupported layers or cause a lot of layers to be dropped from the map. We also need to expand the web map spec to support this so we can have other spec reading clients like Pro and Field Maps honor these configs without dropping layers as well.
