Running into the issue that the public data collection via experience builder edit widget, Survey 123, or any solutions are too complicated to use for simple public data collection. Working with public that are at various stages of computer literacy collecting data (spatial location with a comment) can get quickly complicated. A simple online map where the public can add a pin and leave a comment would be much more intuitive than all the many steps one must complete when using the current options.

A simple drop and drag for pins that might represent different topics (example housing, transportation, good, needs improvement, flooding) and the possibility to leave a comment with the pin would be very useful.

@JuliaReisemann_3J The Reporter Instant App may be helpful to you. The Reporter app allows app users to submit observations about specific locations.  The app requires a webmap that contains editable layers. The edit for could be configured to accept general comments. The app is currently in beta and supports submitting and viewing reports. Additional functionality is being planned, and it will eventually support commenting on existing reports and liking/disliking reports.  For more information, visit the blog.
