Restrict Individual Applications From Selected Users

Right now there is no way to restrict access to ESRI applications in AGOL organization administration for select users. Its either the app is on for all or off for all. This is not sufficient.

Example: I only want Joe to access the Business Analyst tool in AGOL but not Sally. Not an individual created app built but rather the product itself...Business Analyst for example.

This is very problematic as not all users need access to all apps so I should be able to control this. Actually quite surprised this doesn't exist already. Need more granular level control.

Hi @TD1

Are you familiar with Groups? You can create and add members to a group, then share an app with only the group (or groups) that you select.

@EmilyGeo When I say apps I'm referring to these apps at the org level settings:

@EmilyGeo is there a way to do this? Block specific users from being able to access say Business Analyst or ArcGIS Solutions, etc?

There is a lot you can do with user types, roles, and privileges, but there isn’t currently a way to control app creation privileges on this granular level. Others can weigh in and vote for this idea, which helps us understand your needs and shape future updates. In the meantime, it could be helpful to set up custom roles and guide users toward the apps you want them to use.
