This post is based on my 300 visits to schools and 300 universities over the past many years: I frequently hear this need from faculty, and as a faculty member myself, want to do the following: Teaching raster overlay has long been useful, which is why Idrisi and other raster tools were so useful for so many years. We need something in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer that that emulates the raster calculator / map algebra function from ArcGIS Pro. In such a tool we could do this: From all cells in Raster A with a slope < 5 % - combine with all cells in Raster B with an elevation of >= 2000, combine with all cells in Raster C with a land cover of pasture--then you would have Raster D that meets ALL of these criteria. The raster overlay - map algebra should be able to add, multiply, subtract, or divide raster cell values. Thank you!
Hi @JosephKerski2, thank you for your feedback.
This functionality is already available in the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer (as well as in ArcGIS Enterprise Map Viewer) in the Calculator Raster function. Give it a try and let us know if you have additional feedback.
Best,
Sarmistha
