Print Widget - Draw extent to be printed

It would be good if the user could outline/draw the specific area/extent he/she wants shown on their map rather than the extent on the map on their screen.

Excellent idea Alix, I agree!  It should also show the area that will be printed on the screen, like Larry Stout's Print Plus widget. His widget allowed users to see what would be printed, and even better, to specify the scale printed with sensible explanation like 1" = 100' along with absolute scale, very useful for actual work. I recommend his UI be adopted in to the default widget.
