Hi, could you please add a few new dynamic labeling options for polygons to the web maps?
First and formost, could you add stacked labels please? These are the dynamic placement options, I am not talking about creating a multi line label using Arcade for example.
Secondly, could you please offer placement options within the polygon? This would be nice. Better yet, allow for dynamic placement of the polygon layer labels within a polygon. That way, if there are multiple polygon layers turned on in a map requiring labeling, one could be offset from the other, allowing for both labels to be seen on the display. I have noticed when using Experience Builder Print widget, the software will place multiple labels offseting in the print, but not on the live map. This helps for printwork but not interactive mapping on the browser.
Going along with that, in some cases, it might be nice to place the label outside the polygon.
Lastly, I know this is a stretch, but could you add labeling priority between different layers?
Thanks,

If you have an example of what you are expecting with stacked labels that you can post that would be great to add to some of the development tickets we have.
Polygon labeling where the centroid label is dynamically placed like what you are seeing in print is on our road map hopefully in the next update to Online.
Other polygon labeling options are being looked into.
Thanks for the feedback!
Hi, stacked labeling would all labels to not overrun features, and allow for more label placement. I make cadastral maps for county government and alot of times users want to label parcels with owner name and in urban areas it looks horrible:
Allowing for non centroid polygon label placement would allow for multiple layers to be labeled at once time. For example, if I have multiple polygon layers turned on at the same time, and they over lap and happen to have their centroids in similar locations, only the top layer will label. More commonly, GIS would allow for labels to be staggered so mulitple layers can be labeled at once.
Another huge pitfall of centroid labeling is when the feature is larger than the current extent on the display of the brower and the feature looks "unlabeled". It is no un labeled though, it's just the label is stuck in the middle of the polygon and you have to pan around to find what you're looking for. Dynamic labeling with multiple anchor positions would be more ideal, so the label is redrawn for that polygon in ANY extent you view that feature.
thanks,
Would anybody else be interested in more polygon labeling options in the AGOL web maps, or are these pointless posts that will not gain any traction with people who can acutally make it happen?
