I would like to see the developers give more control over label placement on polygon layers. In my instance, I have several layers that have identical polygons and the labels simply draw right on top of each other making them all useless!! I am not interested in offsetting label placement. The software used to only draw the label of the top most layer in the contents panel, but has since changed to just drawing all of them regardless. We need something like label priority or software that is smart enough to draw them side by side or above and below, but not overlapping!! We could have placement options based on location within the polygon, that would work. It would also be nice to have stacked labels as an option to not overrun polygon boundaries. This is not the same thing as multiline labels programed with labeling expressions, this is a dynamic stacked option when needed for better placement.
