The Update View process has become quite slow for some of our view layers where the layer contains hundreds of thousands of features. I suspect that the map pane which is trying to draw all of these features may be contributing to this, so I suggest the capability to pause or close the Update View map pane to speed up processing.
I appreciate that the new Update View process allows you to see how your filters and Area of interest affect the resulting data, but it isn't always needed and could be slowing things down.
