This idea stems from my many years of work with the educational community at all levels including visits to 300 schools and 300 universities: Faculty are needing an instant app in ArcGIS Online that emulates the layout function in ArcGIS Pro. Why? Faculty (and students ) would use this to insert TODALSIGS onto maps - title, orientation, date, author, legend, scale, index, grid, and source onto such a layout app because they frequently need to create figures for publications, posters for conferences and for hallway displays, and so on. A few instant apps allow for a few of these elements to be included, but what most faculty and GIS professionals do now is to out to Adobe Photoshop or some other graphics tool to add these, when it would be much more convenient to have an app, so that they can stay in the ArcGIS system for the entire workflow.
