Currently, none of the off-the-shelf templates (basic viewer, finder, etc.) in ArcGIS Online support routing. Routing is available in the web map, but not in any of the applications you can pick from. This functionality should be included in these application templates. This feature should be supported on ESRI-hosted web applications, since they are themed and look cleaner than the web map.
