"Attribute based on an expression" field does not show in the Table widget within Experience Builder. It shows in the Map Viewer Classic table and it shows in the Web App builder attribute widget table, but not in the Experience Builder table widget. It is only viewable in the feature pop up when clicking on the feature within the map widget. It would be very helpful to be able to view fields based on expressions within the table widget.
I was just trying to do this and am extremely disappointed this functionality did not get transferred from the old WAB to ExB
+1 was just trying to make a graph based on year submitted instead of date submitted. Was able to easily create an expression to do this is the web mao but can't use it in EXB.
+1 this is required functionality
Seems like something that should have just be in-place from the start. All fields in my pop-ups are expressions so that I can format the data as I need to, but because I'm using expressions, the table in EXB is blank.
In ArcGIS Online, it is now possible to add arcade expressions to a layer directly in ArcGIS Experience Builder and to use them in the table widget. There is also a function to copy the arcade of a map expression set in the web map into the arcade script window in Experience Builder. However, if the map expression is updated in the web map, the builder must also update the arcade expression manually in the Experience Builder - they are not linked.
Step 1: Add an Arcade Expression to a Layer in the Data Tab of an Experience Builder
The Add Expression button is located under the Arcade Expressions section title of a selected layer in the Data tab of Experience Builder in edit mode.
Step 2: Copy a Map Expression From a Web Map Into the Arcade Script for the Arcade Expression
Map expressions are found under the Map expressions section title under the Suggestions section title within the Arcade script window in Experience Builder in edit mode.
Step 3: Add the Newly Added Arcade Expression to the Table Widget
When editing the table widget in Experience Builder, the user can select Interact with a Map widget, choose the map they want to use, select a layer in the map, choose the Customize option under the Configure fields section title in the sidebar made visible after selecting a layer, and choose the fields to display in the table, the options of which include the arcade expressions set in the Data tab.
