It would be a really good idea to have the ability to auto-populate attribute fields when editing data in a Web Application (AGOL).

The example is that when editing road data during a Civil Defence Event our Emergency Operating Centre staff need to update information as it comes in. We have currently setup the a Web App using the "Smart Editor" widget to select a feature and then edit the attribute information.

The following fields that need to be auto-populated with information is Updated By (user name) and Updated At (current date/time). Though this could be applied to any field.

You can do that in AGOL with editor tracking enabled but it only works if it is a hosted featureclass. We would like it to apply to enterprise geodatabases accessed through AGOL

This has been implemented with Attribute Action Preset values. Please review the documentation section for Presets: Smart Editor widget—Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS | Documentation
