Hi, I am developing an application using ArcGIS Platform and am exploring some of the available services and data that I can use on my maps. For example, I discovered that the ArcGIS Traffic Service is available from https://traffic.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World/Traffic/MapServer and I'm wondering what other kinds of similar data sources and services might be available to use on different maps.

Is there some kind of catalog or directory of the services available from ArcGIS Platform and ArcGIS Online? I found this: https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/services-reference/enterprise/using-the-services-directory.htm but that seems to be in reference to ArcGIS Enterprise which I'm not using.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan,

The Living Atlas might be a good place to start - Living Atlas of the World | ArcGIS

It contains all sorts of authoritative data that you might find useful.

Best,

Hamish

Yes, thank you! I knew it existed but couldn't remember the name - again, fairly new to this whole world 🙂

Cheers,

Hi Hamish,

Actually I did have one follow up question. I was watching one of the UC presentations about Living Atlas and the speaker mentioned that you could also browse some (all?) of the content through ArcGIS Online groups. The specific example she was showing was around live feeds, but I was having a hard time replicating it. For example, I went here: https://esri.maps.arcgis.com/home/groups.html and there's a few things there, but seems to be only a small subset. Am I looking in the wrong place?

thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan,

Is this the group in question - Live Feeds - Content (arcgis.com)?
