We are doing the network Analyst tutorial in the help (ArcGIS 10). In the first exercise, the students are supposed to create a new network dataset in the Transportayion feature dataset within the SanFrancisco.gbd. It worked fine for most students, but some got this error "There are no feature clases in the network container that can be added as feature sources" when they tried to create the new network dataset. they didn't do anything different than anyone else. What's the problem and how do I have them fix it? The frustration level is rising radidly in the class. Thanks.

Looks like they already have a network dataset in that feature dataset and when trying to create a new it will complain that there is no feature classes to add to it.
So, delete the network dataset first and then create a new one as in the tutorial.

I get this error in ArcCatalog 10.1 SP1, both on already existing file-gdb:s and new gdb:s.
I'm certain that no other network datasets exists in any of the gdb:s.

Make sure the feature class or classes that you want to make into a network are in the feature dataset that you are using to create the network dataset in. If you do have them there and are getting this message, can you describe your geodatabase and the steps you are doing when you get this message?
