Hello,
I'm new to the Network Analyst Extension so my question is fairly basic, I think.
Can anyone recommend a USA roads layer (for edges) that could be used to create a Network Dataset that's suitable for creating Drive Time Polygons (Service Area Polygons) from health facilities that have ultracold storage for the COVID-19 vaccine? I have the health facilities with ultracold storage point layer.
I tried the Census Bureau's Tigerline Road layer but it's too detailed and their primary road layer is not detailed enough. And I read that the roads layers in AGOL is meant for cartography, not analysis purposes.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Solved! Go to Solution.
The simplest approach is to use the "Ready to Use Tools" in the Analysis tab in Pro. These tools do consume credits, but they use Esri's road network data so you don't have to mess with that. This is my preferred method for creating Service Areas.
Maybe the Esri StreetMap Premium product can meet your needs.

Thank you for your reply, BillFox!
Is Esri StreetMap Premium a better option than using ArcGIS Online's network data in terms of accurate network analysis results?
Thanks again!

I think it is the same dataset used with AGOL.
Hi BillFox,
I checked on this and AGOL does use the same Street Network as the Premium.

Thank you, Jay!
I was able to create Service Areas using the Ready Use Tools in ArcGIS Online and it worked great!
