Hi everyone,

I’m currently working with a customer who is evaluating different options to integrate a mobile navigation solution with their existing enterprise environment.
They need a navigation app capable of:

  1. Consuming Network Analysis services from ArcGIS Enterprise.

  2. Working with offline navigable data previously downloaded to the device (MMPKs).

  3. Calculating routes that also take traffic conditions into account.

We are analyzing different approaches and I would appreciate some guidance from the community and the product team. Here are the key questions we have:

Product Lifecycle

  • What is the current roadmap for ArcGIS Navigator?

  • Is there any planned change in long-term support or availability?

  • We have experienced difficulties installing it from Google Play on recent Android versions and had to deploy the APK manually. Is this expected?

Traffic in Offline Routing

  • Can Navigator include traffic conditions during route calculation when using offline MMPKs?

  • If not, would the recommended workflow be to compute the traffic-aware route using ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Pro, save it to the user's Portal account, and then open it in Navigator?

  • Is there a better approach?

Launch Parameters

  • What is the maximum number of stops that can be passed through launch parameters?

  • What is the maximum length allowed for the parameter string?

Custom Development with ArcGIS SDKs

We are also evaluating whether ArcGIS SDKs for Android/iOS could provide a more flexible solution.

  • Which capabilities or recommended workflows should we consider for implementing advanced navigation with both online and offline data?

  • Are there known examples or best practices from similar projects?

Any insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!
