Hi everyone,
Is there any way to add satellite basemap into Navigator ?

I tried to publish it as mobile map backage with route and local locator, but it is not allowed to do that.

I'm using GIS enterprise license not AGO.

Thank you for your question. Are you planning on using your own satellite imagery/basemap or are you using an Esri basemap?

I am having the same question. I'd like to use ESRI's basemap because the imagery is newer than what I have available. But do I need to use my own imagery?

@RachaelMurtaugh you can use the Esri imagery basemap in ArcGIS Navigator. You also have the option of using your own data/imagery if that works better for you. Make sure that you add the basemap you want to use in your map before you create your Mobile Map Package (mmpk) for use in Navigator. The basemap will need to be a tile layer for it to be available for offline use. Here is a link to some Esri provided basemaps: https://www.arcgis.com/home/group.html?id=3a890be7a4b046c7840dc4a0446c5b31&view=list#content

CORRECTION: While you can use the tile basemap services I suggested above for mmpks, they will only work for ArcGIS Field Maps and not ArcGIS Navigator. I apologize for the confusion.

I try this link (https://tiledbasemaps.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World_Imagery/MapServer) as a base map (add data in base map from URL), and I don't see it in Navigator. Can you explain a little bit the way to do it

@mfafard I apologize for the confusion, Image services will not work in ArcGIS Navigator, only in ArcGIS Field Maps.

@KerriRasmussen  In ArcGIS Navigator, are you able to have your own imagery in TTPKs?  Is there a size limit?  I am having issues with the mmpk with imagery saying "invalid map" when trying to open it and I'm trying to narrow down the reason.

If you're looking to add a TPK file or a VTPK file to your MMPK for use in ArcGIS Navigator, you'll want to look at the steps below to make sure that any tile layers (TPK or VPK) as well as your network dataset are in your basemap layer and not in your map as an Operational layer.

  1. Right-click on the map in the Catalog pane and convert to basemap
  2. Right click the basemap that you just created and convert to map.
You now have a fresh map and basemap with all layers in each and can just keep what you need in each.
  3. In the basemap, remove all layers except network dataset, .tpk and .vtpk
  4. In the map remove the network dataset, .tpk and .vtpk, since they are in the basemap.
  5. From the basemap picker choose the new basemap.
  6. Create the MMPK
