Hi @IrisHadarStltd,

There was a bug in ArcGIS Monitor 2023, where you were unable to register MS Azure SQL Server databases. This was fixed in ArcGIS Monitor 2024.0.2.

But your comment " ... SaaS SQL Server in Azure .... " is a little too broad, so I am not sure if that's what you meant.

Hope this helps,

Hi Derek,

Thank you for the answer.

We are currently using ArcGIS Monitor Server 2024.0.1 and are looking to register Microsoft SQL Azure (RTM) 12, which is configured as an Azure Managed Instance.

Could you kindly advise on the best approach to monitor this database? Specifically, we are interested in understanding where to install the agaent, which version to use, and which metrics are available for monitoring.

Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Iris,

Details regarding monitoring SQL Server, including metrics, can be found in the link below. Note that for database monitoring, no local agent is required. Any Agent can remotely monitor a database, which is helpful for SaaS databases. A bug was fixed at 2024.0.2 related to Azure SQL Server monitoring (also linked below).
