Hi
We have installed Monitor 2024 and the 2024.0.2 agents and everything is working except for the metrics for an Federated ArcGIS Server site (v10.9.1) made up of 2 machines.
The services & logs are appearing as well all the host information for the 2 machines. Monitor logs are saying the following when I manually run the observer:
Monitor Log Message: Warning, E_OBSERVER_RUN, Run failed, Failed to read ArcGIS Server usage report
The AGS logs for each machine has the following: Metric 'agm-bc354a23-6449-4586-8383-b40b560dc91a' was edited successfully.
The associated Portal machine is pumping metrics perfectly.
I have followed the process to removed usage report that have a number based name and removed all other reports other than the standard out of the box 3. Then re-registered. Still, no metrics 😐 I also re-entered the AGS siteadmin password for the connection.
The only thing we have not done is restart ArcGIS Server &/or reboot the machines, this will be happening in a week as we have to wait for a change window.
We have 5 other AGS Sites (4 x 1091 & 1 x 11.2) rolling and all are sweet. When hooking those in yes I did have to remove the number reports and reregister and those kicked in. All the 1091 sites are federated with a Portal.
I still need to submit a ticket with ESRI Aus today as well.
Any thoughts?
Please & thank you 😄
Solved! Go to Solution.
So, the problem is the size of the statistics folder for ArcGIS Server.
Remove a bulk amount of .dat files and it should start working again in Monitor.
I had to unregister the ags site, delete the report and register again and then all was sweet
UPDATE 1:
Restarted, uninstalled stuff, reinstalled, switch the monitoring to a dev machine and that's still doing the same.
I have a ticket with ESRI Australia and old mate Jonathan T is scratching his head like me and we're throwing anything at the wall to see what sticks. So far it all slides down.......
So more information, this is happening on both our AGS sites that are for the Utility Network...
Not sure if that plays a part or not.
But, I am getting this error in the logs, anyone have a clue on this wee pearler??????
write EPROTO F0120000:error:0A000438:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:tlsv1 alert internal error:C:\Users\runneradmin\AppData\Local\Temp\pkg.88b515b3b15b8e0a1a0f411e\node\deps\openssl\openssl\ssl\record\rec_layer_s3.c:1590:SSL alert number 80
Anyone have something to throw at the wall let me know and I'll piff it.
