I understand ArcGIS Monitor 2024.1 doesn't work with the Excel Reporting Tool.  I use that tool once a month to tune my Services and Servers, please bring it back or create a tool to do the reports.

Hi @SteveMcCarthy,

I use that tool once a month to tune my Services and Servers, please bring it back or create a tool to do the reports.

Can you please both more specific on your requirements/needs? We realize there's a need/want to export data from an analysis view, but what else?

What does the Export to Excel report tool offer that we're missing in Monitor 2024.x? Certain metrics? If so, which? or display of certain data - maybe we could offer a pre-configured analysis view.

The more details you can provide, the better we can consider implementing the functionality in core.

Thanks in advance

Greetings,

I second the request for this tool to be updated to work with the latest version of AGM. Requirements/needs wise, I just need everything it does now, but updated to support the latest version of AGM (2024.1.1+704). Thank you for everything and have a delightful day.

Sincerely,

Joe Guzi

Thirded.

The statistics output by the Excel Report immensely help in reporting on SLAs. Monitor analysis views perform known aggregations on data over time, but are often limited to 10 items from splitting into series. The graphs within individual component metrics show some helpful statistics (max, min, avg, std dev, count) but are not accurate when looking at time periods greater than 2-6 hours or anything prior to the current day. Am I missing something, or maybe I don't have it configured correctly?

A bit off topic, but do the graphs shown on individual component metric pages get aggregated across recorded intervals and then averaged? Looking at Requests Received, I don't expect to see decimals, but I do. Or, three 5-minute intervals of 500 requests received should not display as 500 requests received over a 15-minute period, but they do.

All of the metric data we want is stored within the database. There just aren't tools to extract that or view it neatly and accurately within Monitor. While maybe not Monitors primary selling point, this issue makes it impossible to determine things like trends over time and make Monitor only helpful for the immediate environment conditions. Having accurate statistics is also helpful for initially determining a baseline to establish alert criteria on.

The availability or connectivity reports help determine site uptime.

Not all alerts are going to be investigated immediately. Maybe they resolve quickly, occur off-hours, or there's just no time. Having the information about the number of alerts of different thresholds that occurred for each metric and component helps determine who the problematic ones are and can take priority in a monthly/quarterly/annual review.
