It would be nice to have a DB counter with a custom SQL Query , similar to what 10.8.x had. (https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/monitor/10.8/administration/add-a-db-counter.htm)
Hi Bob,
The dev team is working toward allowing observers to be extended with custom code in the near future, which would allow user-defined queries to be executed for new metrics. Does this sound applicable to your idea?
In ArcGIS Monitor 10.8.x there is the functionality of making custom SQL Queries on surveyed databases, and also set alerts on threshholds set on the result of these queries. This is very pracitcal, especially on non-SDE databases which are critical for the running of the GIS environment as a whole, like master databases or component databases such as FME Server or PostGIS databases.
It's a shame ArcGISMonitor 2023 does not have this functionality (as of yet). It is an important part of our running Monitor (10.8) and we can not really consider upgrading without this. Possible to integrate in a future release perhaps?
Sorry, just realised this idea has already been posted. Will defer to idea https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-monitor-ideas/ability-to-create-custom-db-with-custom-sql/idi-p... for this
@EsriEvan - any estimate when this feature might be available in Monitor?
