I have a Garmin GPSMAP 6000 series and have saved waypoints and track data onto an sd card. The files are .adm type and I would like to open them and save them as a text file so that I can add them to an ARCMAP v.10 project.  Or if there is a simplier solution - please post.

Hello,

ArcGIS for Maritime: Bathymetry is a tool to manage, visualize, manipulate and serve data coming from bathymetric sensors.
My understanding is that .adm files are a proprietary format from Garmin that doesn't contain bathymetric data. so my guess is that your best bet will probably be to contact Garmin to ask them how to export the content of these files to ArcGIS.

Thank you,

Bertrand

First, save the adm file from Garmin base map software in text format, and open Excel and save the text file in Excel. Then launch arcgis and input that excel file.
