Hi everyone,

I am new to using feature class layers from the Living Atlas in AGOL, and I need some help. I am interested in clipping (or masking) layers from the Living Atlas to fit my area of interest (the State of Oregon, US), but cannot figure out how to do this in AGOL. The layers I am interested in are quite large (NHD, hillshade/slope maps) and I only want to load a small area. Is it possible to do this without consuming too many credits? Is this something that can be done with AGOL, or do I need to use Pro for this, and then upload my clipped layer into my map on AGOL?

Also, how do I clip or mask feature classes from the Living Atlas that contain live or regularly updated data (ex: temperature/weather data) without compromising the regular updates?

Thanks!

You can use blend modes in AGOL to mask out layers. Check out this post for more info: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-questions/masking-layers-in-agol/td-p/577433
