Hello,
We're looking to share our regional data from our existing open data service but we're not clear from your StoryMap directions if we should just share our data with the AGOL group or if we also need to upload the data in addition (?)
These instructions in the StoryMap make it sound like it's as easy as sharing via a group: http://esriurl.com/CMSharingAGOLItems
But this sentance in the Story Map is what's confusing: "You upload your Service data by referencing the layer URL in the Community Maps Contributor App ."
Can someone please clarify this?
Thank you,
Amanda Huber

Hi Amanda, we appreciate the comments and questions!
The only reason to share items in a group is if your data is not publicly accessible. This option allows you to keep your data private, but share it only with one our our CM usernames from a group.
If your data is already shared publicly, then you can reference the service URL in the Contributor App.
Please reach out to us at communitymaps@esri.com and we can arrange for a specialist to contact you for specifics!
thanks!
Seth
