Living Atlas now includes two new precipitation datasets: The Integrated Multi-Satellite Retrievals for Global Precipitation Measurement (IMERG) and WorldClim.

The Integrated Multi-Satellite Retrievals for GPM (IMERG) layer provides global precipitation estimated from NASA’s Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) and the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) satellites.

The WorldClim Precipitation layer shows the expected inter-annual precipitation at any given place.

For more information, see Precipitation layers in ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World.

Will the same sort of thing be done for the WorldClim minimum and maximum temperature datasets?

@BernSzukalski  I have been trying to use these layers to get a temporal profile for a given polygon and am having no luck.  Both Sample tool and Zonal stats fail with a 9999.  I would love to see these converted to a CRF Multidimensional Multivariate Raster.

I could give it a quick look if you send me more info about parameters you are using, extent, etc. You can send that to bszukalski@esri.com.

That said, my best suggestion for the quickest and most efficient response might be to contact Esri tech support as the message says...

I ended up getting the raw netCDF files from NOAA and making a Multidimensional Multivariate Raster CRF file which works way better and faster.  I have been working with Living Atlas on other layers that could use this and I really hope they make the switch to this newer format.

Just look how fast this charting 4 vars back to 1895!

I appreciate the extra information, and am glad you are on your way. I will pass along information to Living Atlas and analysis teams.
