I am trying to use the http://sampleserver3.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/Network/USA/NAServer/Service Area service but I want to be able to use distance instead of drive time. This service does not seem to offer that option. Does anybody know of another free Network Service that might offer that option or I am missing something that will allow me to use the ESRI service with distance instead of time.
hi vicki, i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but none of our 'sample' servers are meant to be used in production applications. our new subscription Service Area routing service definitely supports both time and distance impedance, but running the service costs credits.
the good news is that if you are still just testing you can sign up for a free arcgis.com developer account which gives you access to 50 free credits per month.
