Was looking at some of the new Gauge samples (such as this one) and was just wondering why a certain bit of behavior is as it is.

The gauge works great as you move the mouse around and hover over certain features.  However, why is it that you can click somewhere inside the gauge's bar and it fills the bar in up to where you clicked?  Doing so fails to update the value displayed below the guage and seems to have no real purpose.  Can anyone offer an explanation?  Thanks.

As an addendum, this in fact causes faulty behavior if, as in that sample, the next feature you mouse-over features a value of 0 for some of its data--the corresponding gauge will remain filled in to whatever value you manually input by clicking on the gauge.

It's a bug. We'll fix this in the next release.
