Basemap Gallery with Dynamic Map Service Layers?

Hi

I am having difficulty implementing the BasemapGallery widget.

Everything is fine when I am only showing the Basemap Gallery with my tiled layers.

But, when I try to add an ArcGIS Dynamic Map Service Layer to overlay this data on top of the basemaps, the slider changes from my tiled scale range ticks, to the non ticked slider that you get for when only Dynamic Layers are being shown.

It is as though once I add a dynamic map layer, it treats my basemaps as dynamic as well (if that makes any sense).

Has anyone encountered this problem?
