Question regarding "7: Not found. Sensors required for IPS positioning not found." in Indoors on Android

Hi everyone.

I set up two Indoor positioning data services (one using WiFi and one using Bluetooth) for testing purposes. Bluetooth-positioning works fine. When trying to use WiFi in the Indoors App, I get "7: Not found. Sensors required for IPS positioning not found.". This comes as a surprise, because in the IPS Setup App I receive confirmation of successful WiFi-positioning including transmitter count.

  • WiFi scan throttling is turned off
  • WiFi and Bluetooth scanning are activated in the device's Location services settings (the option allowing Apps to use them even if WiFi / Bluetooth are turned off)
  • Indoors has the following permissions:
    • Location permission (precise location on)
    • Nearby devices permission
    • Notification permission
    • Calendar permission

The device used is a Samsung tablet running Android version 14. Indoors App version is 2.2.0 and IPS Setup App version is 1.8.0.

Any ideas what I might have gotten wrong?

Thanks

Jonas
