Web app builder template "Map Tools" measure tool issue.

Hi,

I downloaded the Map Tools web app builder template. http://www.arcgis.com/apps/MapTools/index.html . The measure tool works correctly. However, when you toggle click the icon to stop the measure tool, it doesn't quit. It does dismiss the tool box. But, if you click on a feature to see the popup, you get a measure tool starting again.

Any idea?

By 'Toggle the button' do you mean the Measure text/Icon on the toolbar? If so then you are correct this doesn't stop the measure it just closes the dialog. In order to stop measuring you need to click the tool (area, point, line) you are using to measure.

Measuring does stop if you toggle any of the other toolbar tools like Print, basemaps etc so I think it should also stop when the measure toggle is pressed too. I'll look at resolving this for the winter release of ArcGIS Online.

Thank you for your answer. It does work, when I click on the tool I was using in the popup box. However, it does not stop measuring, when you click any of the toolbar icons like layers, basemap, and etc. Yes I meant the Measure text/Icon on the toolbar. We look forward to your Winter release of the program. This is a wonderful tool to have!
