Weather widget in 3D viewer does not work

I tried to add the new weather widget to an instant app. But nothing happens. Its sunny, no rain, clouds or what ever I try to do.
I cant see any configuration to this widget? Any sugestions?
The daylight widget works.  Help-text says these to are possible to combine. But I cant get it work at all.
The map is so far not public, so I am not able to share.

I check the json for the app with the ArcGIS Online Assistant. Could not see any configuration of the app there either, just placement on the screen.

Yes if you select the weather option buttons you'll see sliders appear that allow you to define things like cloud cover, precipitation, fog etc.
