Hello. We have a bug and need help. There is some very strange behavior when we have developed a few Instant Apps within our organization. After being logged into my organization, in my content when I review my apps item details and I press "View" it opens the following link without an item number to https://richardson.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/basic/index.html
which is Washington State Traffic Volume app. I'm in Texas. It's not even honoring our organizations extent. I have to go to "Configure", "Publish", then "Launch" for it to open the app we developed. This is what we want. https://richardson.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/basic/index.html?appid=4598ad2cca47493d9aa7f5cacf8c2...
We have several Instant Apps basic viewer that behave like this.
Below are all the ways I "view" and the Instant App opens the Washing State app. This also happens to other members of our organization.

@ShariF This sounds like a known bug that randomly happens, and we are working on resolving this in the next update of ArcGIS Online. Once it occurs, it does need to be manually updated. It's similar to what Jelle is describing. The app ID is not correctly appended to the item details page, so launching anywhere other than the configuration panel shows a different map. Could you try going through the steps in this article and see if it resolves your issue? https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/arcgis-instant-apps-display-their-template-when-launch...
Hi Sharif,
What probably happened is that the URL to which it needs to look at is invalid. To correct that copy the URL which you see under the metadat button (last screenshot), go to the settings of the instant app and paste the url in the URL box under Instant app:
best regards,
Jelle Stuurman
Thank you for that advice. I tried it and it does make the actual app open as it should! I guess I would like to know why it's not working as it should. I appreciate your time.
