We are using ArcGIS Server 10.0 I have created a mosaic dataset and have published an Image service. Everything is working fine except for the metadata. Example: An external user selects a couple of the rasters to download, right-clicks on service in the table of contents > Data > Download Selected Rasters. The .tif.xml file does not show up in the list of files to download. Why is this? I have made sure that the mosaic dataset has 'full' metadata capabilities and have also made sure that the Image Service has 'full' metadata capabilities and the 'Metadata' capability checkbox is checked. Please help...
Also, is there a way to view the metadata files (without downloading) for the individual rasters that make up the mosaic dataset. I can only view the metadata for the entire mosaic dataset.
Just in case anyone was wondering the answer to this question... I contacted ESRI tech support and they confirmed this is a bug. They put in a bug fix request - this will hopefully be resolved in a later version of the software.
