Initial Extent

We use a image service as our background when a user logins to our internet application.  I would like to set the initial extent of teh published Image Service.  Is this possible and where is it located or do I have to have a programmer set it in the application.

Each image services defines its extent. The extent show initially by an application is defined by the applicaitons. For example in WebMaps you can define the initial extent. The extent of the sources are used only as the defaults for the apps.
